To me, #MindfulnessMeans understanding that your past isn’t something to be ashamed of, but a prologue of the person you are becoming. The future isn’t something to be fearful of, but should be seen as upcoming chapters of a novel that’s impossible to put down. That every moment, every word, every sight, smell, taste, sound, feeling, and person you encounter are to be cherished and celebrated. That your journey is yours for a reason and once you understand the purpose that it’s leading you to, you wouldn’t trade your path for anyone else’s. That there isn’t a time limit or even a concrete definition of what success and happiness is, you define it according to your purpose. It means understanding that you are a small, yet unique part of a much larger entity. You are the universe, expressing itself as a human for a little while. ________________________________________ Thanks for asking me to share, @peakmoney! Now I’m asking you out there, use the hashtag #MindfulnessMeans and share what it means to you! #RastaYogi #OnlyTheAvatar

This is from last week's race; it was the calm before the storm. Currently going through a bit of deja vu... I know it's raining outside today. The weather is complete trash. I should stay home... but that's not an option that I'm electing. What makes marathons, ultra marathons and training for major events so legendary for me is the ability to watch myself go from a caterpillar to a butterfly. You cannot enjoy the beauty before going through some gritty conditions. I'm not trying to be better than everybody, just the best version of myself. Any other accolades that come with it are just the bonus fries at the bottom of a bag when I thought the meal was done. Praise is temporary; overall content from earning your stripes is everything. See you on the pavement. Catch me outside... 📷 @blackmenrunnyc #runningfatchef #fatrunner #runner #whyirun #plussizeathlete #endurance #raceday #skirtsports #REALwomenmove #swiftwick #chaseadventure #athlete #womenwholift #fitmom #fitness #fitnessmotivation #timetofly #mycurvescan #thickthighssavelives #mindovermatter #loveletters
